About Us

Dr. Kathy’s Veterinary Care

When your pet needs medical care, you want an experienced team you trust. At Dr. Kathy’s Veterinary Care, Inc., we provide full-service veterinary care for dogs, cats, rabbits, and exotic pets throughout Largo, Seminole, North Redington Beach, and surrounding communities.

We combine dependable veterinary medicine with the kind of familiar, welcoming environment our Largo families appreciate. From routine wellness visits to more complex medical cases, our team has the experience to support your pet’s wellbeing at every stage of life.

If you’ve just welcomed a new kitten or puppy into your home, or you’re managing a chronic condition in a senior pet, we’re here to provide consistent, reliable veterinary care close to home.

Why Pet Families Choose Dr. Kathy’s Veterinary Care

Many of our clients have been part of our practice for years. We’ve watched their pets grow from playful puppies and kittens into adult companions and senior family members. There’s something meaningful about seeing familiar faces walk through our doors, and we’re proud to be the veterinary team families in Largo and Seminole trust for their pet’s lifetime of care.

We value communication. It’s part of how we practice medicine. Our goal is to provide practical guidance and straightforward recommendations so you can feel confident in every decision you make for your pet.

Not every veterinary practice is equipped to treat exotic pets. Exotic species often require specialized knowledge and handling techniques. Our team has experience caring for rabbits and exotic pets such as guinea pigs, ferrets, hamsters, reptiles, and several avian species. We understand the unique medical needs that come with treating non-traditional companion animals and the importance of proper handling, nutrition guidance, and species-specific diagnostics.

For pets that are nervous or scared during visits, we use low-stress handling techniques designed to reduce anxiety and create a calmer experience. This approach is especially important for cats or birds who benefit from gentle, attentive handling.

Preventive & Diagnostic Care

We believe early detection makes a measurable difference in how pets age and how quickly issues can be addressed. Small changes in appetite, weight, mobility, or behavior can signal underlying concerns long before they become serious. That’s why routine veterinary visits are not just checkups — they are opportunities to stay ahead of potential problems.

Preventive care remains one of the most important tools in protecting your pet’s long-term health. Routine exams allow us to detect early changes that may not be visible at home. Through physical examinations, diagnostic screening, and ongoing health tracking, we build a clearer picture of your pet’s overall wellbeing year after year. For aging pets, we focus on mobility, comfort, and maintaining quality of life through proactive health management designed to support their changing needs.

Dr. Kathy’s Veterinary Care also offers a wide range of services to support your pet’s health at every life stage, including:

  • Senior pet care and health screenings
  • Dental exams and professional cleanings
  • In-house laboratory diagnostics
  • General surgery
  • Illness and injury treatment

By offering comprehensive diagnostics and treatment options, we’re able to provide timely answers and coordinated care without unnecessary delays.

Great and friendly experience. Easy to discuss related concerns and received great advice. Reasonable pricing and billing. The single page billing and vaccination arrear and future requirements made it a “one stop” notice rather than 5 or 10 pages.

Dr. Kathy's amazing. She spend one hour on the first consultation with my cat, Onyx, and I felt to bad that he only charged $29. She remndes my of the old time doctors who were doctors to heal and care. I highly recommend this vet.

We recently traveled to Florida from Ontario Canada with our cat Jaya. This was our first time taking her so it was a little stressful. After a few days in Largo , Jaya started scratching her ears raw. After a quick search I was able to find that Dr. Kathy was only 10 minutes away so I gave her a call. Luckily we were able to get in right away. Dr. Kathy was very professional and made our nervous little cat feel very comfortable. After a quick look in her ears we were relieved to hear it was only a reaction to bug bites . Dr. Kathy got us some cream with itch relief and showed us how to apply it. With in a couple days Jaya's ears were healed and the fur growing back. Thanks to Dr. Kathy and her staff we are much more comfortable bringing Jaya with us to Florida.
